New Earth Observation Initiative Targets Climate Resilience Across Africa
A multi-partner constellation will deliver near-daily imagery of the Sahel and Horn of Africa, sharpening early-warning systems for drought and flood.

A new Earth observation initiative announced this week will deploy an eight-satellite constellation dedicated to climate resilience monitoring over the African continent.
The programme, jointly funded by African development banks and private industry, will deliver multispectral imagery at sub-3-metre resolution with revisit times of under 24 hours across priority regions.
